  • Are bitumen driveways available in a choice of colours?
Yes, we are pleased to provide you with a choice of colours. Please refer to our before and after photos, which show the different coloured aggregates. All our product is locally sourced and to a very high standard of quality.
  • Do you do car parks and larger areas?
We certainly do! We can also do sub divisions and tennis courts.
  • Do you have any special accreditation?
East Gippsland Hot Bitumen are associate members of the AAPA (Australian Asphalt Pavement Association). AAPA represents Australia’s manufacturers and practitioners involved in asphalt and other bitumen products and champions continual improvement in asphalt and bitumen technology. Their web page is aapa.asn.au
  • How much does it cost?
Surprisingly less than you would imagine! For example, did you know a hot bitumen driveway is a cheaper alternative than asphalt or concrete? Our quotes are obligation free and during our visit, we measure the square metres of the area concerned and are normally able to provide you with a verbal quote on the spot. Written quotes are also available upon request.

If you are not able to meet with us, we are happy to go to the address, measure up and get back to you with a price.

  • I am building a new house and don't have a driveway yet
We can assist with the construction of your new driveway from start to finish. Please give us a call to discuss your needs and we will be happy to provide you with our quote.
  • I have an existing driveway which has ruts and pot holes
A bitumen driveway is long lasting and durable. Unlike gravel, bitumen won’t get washed away. We can install culverts and pipes to ensure the water drains away, reducing ruts and pot holes.
  • I need to extend my existing bitumen driveway
We can match the area of your current bitumen driveway without leaving unsightly seams or marks. This is ideal if you need your driveway extended or a pipe relaced.
  • What is hot bitumen?
Hot bitumen is sprayed on to a prepared road base surface. A 10mm aggregate is spread and rolled. A second coat of bitumen is sprayed followed by a layer of smaller aggregate. This is then rolled and the aggregates interlock providing an extremely durable surface.
